Adventure along the original route that paleontologists took to find dinosaur fossils at Garden Park, site of the famous Bone Wars in the late 1800s. This area is rife with fossils from dinosaurs, sea life, and plant life. Many of the area’s findings are housed at the Smithsonian Museum in New York and also at our local Royal Gorge Regional Museum and History Center.

'America's Bridge' has stood since 1929 as an engineering wonder. Spanning the Royal Gorge at about 1,000 feet above the Arkansas River, the bridge serves as a cultural, geographic, and tourism icon. When the bridge first opened in the late 1920's, no one could have imagined that the area would become one of the most-visited attractions in the region.
In 2013, fire ravaged the area but brought with it rebirth and a host of new opportunities for growth. The grand Visitor's Center was rebuilt and now houses Cafe 1230, offering visitors the opportunity to dine on their gorgeous patio overlooking the mountains. Try a zipline across the Gorge, or try your hand at rock climbing along the brand-new Via Ferrata.
Locals receive a special 50% off price in the month of April. Purchase your family pass or season pass at this time and enjoy the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park all year long.
